Do you take insurance?
Yes, we take Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicaid, United Health Care, Superior Medicaid, Dell’s Children Medicaid, and Ambetter. Please call our office to see if we participate with your plan.
When should I have my child evaluated?
You should have your child evaluated if any of the following apply:
Your child is not producing speech sounds that he/she should be able to produce at his/her age.
Your child’s pediatrician, teacher, babysitter, or another less-familiar person has expressed that he/she is having difficulty understanding your child’s speech.
You, another family member, or another more familiar person has expressed that he/she is having difficulty understanding your child’s speech.
You can understand what your child says, but others cannot.
Who should receive swallowing therapy?
Patients with a history of the following may demonstrate difficulty eating (dysphagia):
Stroke
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Cancer of the throat, mouth, or esophagus
Neuromuscular speech disorders resulting from Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's Disease) as well as other conditions
Difficulty chewing, pocketing of food, coughing and gagging during meals.

Expressive Language Disorder may include difficulty with:
Asking questions

Using correct pronouns, like "he" or "they"
Knowing how to start a conversation and keep it going
Pragmatic Language Disorder may include difficulty with:
Using language appropriately for a variety of communicative and social purposes.
